Demonstration of general sidescrolling capabilities of my base engine (the same one used in BREAK). Not in any way a real game, and just here for posterity.

An ancient DirectDraw game. It's terrible. Players use hatchets and try to hack at bears with them to earn points. Supports custom maps and multiplayer via TCP/IP.

Completely insane mod that features a lizard-headed Jan that eats tiny Jans. You can also run over the tiny Jans and snap their bones. This mod easily surpasses the collective works of David Lynch.

A completely procedural in-game cinematic for Jedi Knight II multiplayer. I often refer to this as "Kyle's Ladder". This is another result from the post-traumatic stress of my early adulthood combined with my first soul-crushing 16-hour-days-7-days-a-week game industry crunch. It was worth it.

Mod of the Jedi Master gametype. The Jedi Master becomes a man completely made out of sabers, and can damage people by running into them and whatnot. When he is killed he slowly explodes and shoots saber beams in all directions. Adds kind of an interesting element of play to Jedi Master.

Virtual6502 is a multi-purpose emulator, disassembler, and debugger for the 6502 microprocessor under Win32. Virtual6502 has a good number of features, including:
  • A unique plugin system. Plugin modules can be dropped in the modules subfolder, and they will be loaded and run automatically. Plugin modules have a number of potential functions. They can act as video/audio processing devices, observing the CPU context and memory map, and they can override Virtual6502's handling of opcodes.
  • A built-in disassembler, which can instantly seek and interpret from any point in the 6502 binary, as well as a memory viewer with similar capabilities.
  • Robust debugging functionality. Data breakpoints are supported, as well as standard program counter breakpoints. Breakpoints are also saved off with their relative address settings when you exit Virtual6502, so you don't have to worry about setting them all up again the next time you want to test your binary.
  • Register and status windows for all of the CPU's context members. You can modify them in real-time, and your changes will be effective immediately. You can also modify memory, including in blocks through the convenient modify feature.
  • You're able to break into debugging at any point during execution, single-step through instructions, and modify breakpoints, memory, and other values even during normal execution.
  • You have the ability to choose custom cycle and tick rates for the CPU.

This is an unofficial version of the bot I shipped in Soldier of Fortune Gold. Unfortunately, the bots that actually shipped in SoF Gold were totally broken, as I was not a part of the core development team, and it seems something horrible happened when the bots were modified/integrated into the core game from my code drop. This version integrates my code drop directly into the final game, optimizes performance further without breaking anything, and supports all of the game modes.

This was, to my knowledge, the first Quake 2 bot released. It was horrible. It became better. Not the greatest Quake 2 bot by far, but has some unique elements (including coop support).
Requirements: Quake II
